About Us

Every 4 months, Waterloo sees a ton of students moving in and out of the region thanks to the largest coop student community made of the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College. Looking for a right place to live or someone to take sublets is a challenge to a lot of students and two UW students wanted to make this process easier.

Findit Off campus was created by two University of Waterloo students - Paul and Krishna - with the desire to create a friendly and intuitive approach to finding off campus housing in Waterloo.

What differentiates Findit Off Campus is it provides students with the opportunity to find more than just housing. By incorporating Google Maps, the site offers the ability to search for houses and find local businesses around them. Are you looking for a place nearby grocery stores? Search for "Grocery" in the map and find out what grocery stores are near various housing properties. There are also options to look for fitness centres, restaurants, movie theatres in the local area with a click.

Another key feature the site offers is the bus route display feature which shows the bus routes of Waterloo region with the housing properties. This can instantly show whether a particular property is on a bus route or not.

The site offers free posting to all landlords and students.
